The ultimate speedlight photography training workshop
This event is a down to earth creative session that will push you beyond your usual photographic comfort zone and bring you out the other side as a master of the speedlight.
You'll be starting the session using just one speedlite and slowly move up to advanced three flash setups to create dramatic and beautiful portraits. Damien will teach you all you need to know about lighting with speedlights.
To feel confident in the knowledge that your flashes will be triggered correctly will give you a new degree of freedom. All the technical knowledge should be easily repeatable with simple manual radio transmitters (found on ebay), and you shouldn't feel the need to go and buy an expensive flash trigger system.
Learn Damien's simple repeatable process for speed and consistency
Damien uses manual triggers on this workshop because it enables Nikon, Canon and Fuji users to trigger any of the speedlights he takes with him. You will shoot in manual mode with the speedlights in manual mode too. It's the perfect way to work for this kind of shoot. Fast and consistent. The process of setting the exposure and then setting the flash power is quickly learned by delegates so that they can reproduce the techniques used.
Damien will provide you with radio flash triggers on the day and he will also bring his own speedlights to use for each setup. Please feel free to bring along what speedlight equipment you have in case they're needed or if Damien has time during the day to answer any specific queries you have with your equipment.
This workshop is ideal for all portrait photographers.

Don't just take our word for it…
Anthony said: Just a quick note to say I really enjoyed the course and got a lot out of it. I will certainly be looking at more courses in the future. If any of you out there are considering a course I would highly recommend Damiens – I have a stack of high quality shots for my portfolio as a result and the confidence to go and quickly get more shots that are going to be right in the camera straight away.
Clive said: It was refreshing to attend a workshop that was full on from start to finish. Damien exceeded my expectations with detailed direction on every aspect of shooting with speedlights and various accessories. Our model was just lovely in looks and personality and remained bubbly throughout the day regardless of the cold conditions.
I not only came away with significantly increased knowledge but some great images.
Paul said: Great photos yet again and a real inspiration. Shooting f/16 & f/22 in bright light with a speedlight – I’m surprised you got a good exposure. I have always struggled in those scenarios with my Nikon SB800, even with fully charged batteries
Chris said: There are course's and there are COURSE'S, THIS WAS THE LATTER! If you are serious about fashion photography this day is for you. Damien burns for what he does, there´s a BUZZ about him and after being with him for 5 mins you're hooked too, Great! 100% SPOT ON.
James said: Thanks for a superb day! Great locations, fab model and not forgetting an amazing tutor! Look forward to seeing you on the 22nd.

Cancellation Policy
As our costs for each workshop remain the same no matter how many delegates attend, please note that just like any pre-booked tickets for the theatre, concert, flights etc, we are unable to give any refund in the event of non-attendance, regardless of the circumstances. The exception to this is if we have prior notice and are able to put a cancellation place back online AND your place is resold. In this event we will of course make a full refund or credit to you. We also reserve the right to cancel any workshop if there is insufficient demand, especially if it means that our costs would be higher than our income. Please therefore do not leave it until the last few weeks if you are interested in a particular date, as you may find that it has been removed! Please note that we cannot be liable for any other costs incurred by yourself, so please check with us before booking any non-refundable accommodation or transport.
